ATLANTA, January 14, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — The Home Depot (NYSE:) The foundation is committed 1 million dollars support immediate humanitarian and disaster relief efforts, as well as long-term recovery and future mitigation in Southern California communities affected by recent forest fires.
With entire communities displaced or under evacuation orders CaliforniaThe Foundation’s non-profit partners have mobilized teams on the ground to support relief efforts, including:
- Central world cuisine distributed thousands of meals to citizens, emergency services and emergency services at more than a dozen distribution points.
- Operation Blessing has distributed essential items including water, solar lamps, hygiene kits and more, along with meals, to the affected.
- Convoy of hope distributes truckloads of basic supplies in the area, including food, water and hygiene items.
- American Red Cross established shelters where displaced individuals and families seek safe haven. Through shelters, Red Cross distributes meals and provides supplies such as cots, blankets and water. Additionally, hundreds of emergency responders are on the ground supporting relief efforts.
- ToolBank disaster services is in a position to provide support for immediate and long-term recovery efforts.
IN Los Angeles, Home Depot’s affiliated volunteer force, Team Depot, packs fire relief equipment for Convoy of hope and Operation Blessing for distribution in affected areas. These kits include essentials such as safety glasses, cleaning supplies, trash bags, and emergency tools for those who need immediate assistance due to fire damage.
The past few days of trade in Southern California they donated water, masks and other essentials to non-profit organizations to support people in need. In order to ensure that customers have access to the products they need in the store, Home Depot in coordination with our supplier partners and distribution centers to deploy dozens of truckloads of supplies to Home Depot’s shops in the area, who are ready to support their communities now and as they rebuild.
