Cheltenham Festival: Jasmin de Vaux comes from last to first in Hurt Bartlett Novices’ Hurts for Willie Mullins | Racing news

Jasmin de Vaux added last year’s success of champion Bumper when he was strongly hit by Albert Bartletta Novak’s obstacle in Cheltenham.

Paul Townend gave a six -year -old patient, but went smoothly to take control of entering the home of Ravno.

The Big Westerner leader has dropped a strong challenge on the last flight, but 6/1 Chance Jasmin de Vaux held its advantage in running to overcome two and a half lengths and give coach Willie Mullins his fourth victory of the day.

Mullins said, “We were educating a lot with him and he was just unnatural jumping, and Paul said he had made a mess of third duration, but that the last two jumped well when we wanted to.

“We know that he has an engine and it’s just about attracting it from A to B, and movement a little slower during a long journey made a difference – he could jump his fences better than obstacles next year, and we could start chasing him.

“Most of our Branik winners were views, and on his pedigree and class, it was worth trying out a longer race.

“It probably surprised me how welcome he came through the field and saw him sitting there for the last time there, I wondered if he could come from so far? But Paul gave him a very confident ride and the frame of the mind in which he is currently doing things.

“Once he crossed the third time, I felt confident and definitely after the second long felt that he was losing, but then again the last flight of obstacles, with probably one of the worst jumpers in races, I suppose it was always to worry about anything.

“I thought half a second when he landed on the last, maybe he threw him away, but he did enough with the hill anyway.”
