Bodybuilder Jodi Vance Dead: Coach says she made a “serious mistake”

Bodybuilder Jodi Vance died last Thursday in Columbus, Ohio, After suffering a fatal heart attack.
Vance was only 20 years old.
Vance’s family posted on social networks a reason behind a heart attack on Arnold Sports Festival.

“Her heart ceased due to complications of severe dehydration,” the post about Vance’s Instagram page. “Despite all the efforts of the hospital, they were not able to revive here.
“She was a beautiful person inside and out and will miss her every day. This was sudden and unexpected. Please give your family time to process that loss in peace. If any of that takes something, please first put your health.”

Vance was not at the Arnold Sports Festival to compete on stage, but to help coach those who do it, according to TMZ Sports.
Justin Mihaly, Vance’s coach, stated on an Instagram video that he knew the reason behind the severe dehydration, which ultimately led to a fatal heart attack: “extremely dangerous substances.”
“Jodi made a serious mistake,” Said Mihaly in the video. “Jodi used two extremely dangerous substances to improve her physical ability – I only assume for Arnold Expo – without my knowledge, approval, without family knowledge, their approval … There is no reason that she should have been dehydrating.”

Mihaly said he had a consent from Vance’s mother Jenny to post an Instagram video explaining what he believed was leading to severe dehydration.
“You are welcome to direct your guilt towards me if you believe that we can best honor the iodine,” Mihaly continued in the video.
