A man arrested after a shooting on the Mardi Gras Parade in Louisiani leaves wounded 5 people, police say

Five people were wounded on Sunday in Franktonton, LouisianaAfter the shooting at the Mardi Gras parade, police reported.
The suspect, 18-year-old Jamerian Anders, was arrested five points of attempted first-degree murder after a shooting, Franktonon said police in a press release. Police said they were likely to be additional arrests.
The incident happened around 7pm near the parade route. Police described him as a shot associated with gangs.

Police officers Frankliton and Sheriff’s Sheriff MPs of Washington Parish who were stationed in the area poured over the victims and provided an emergency medical assistance until the paramedics arrived and transported them to the hospital.
Three victims remain in the hospital – one in a critical condition and two in a stable but guarded state. The remaining two were released.
Anders was arrested at 11:40 pm after police say he made a voluntary statement during the interrogation he was involved in.

The incident remains under investigationand the police are still looking for more suspects.
A possible motive was not published by the police.

In a separate incident earlier during the day, Police arrested Two young men found who carry firearms along the parade route within the school zone.
In addition, an earlier report on the shooting has led the police to a person armed with an AR-15 style rifle.
