The Red Cross, MSF call for unhindered access to aid to the flood-affected and frozen Gaza

Aid groups on Wednesday called for safe and unimpeded access for aid to war-torn Gaza, where babies are freezing to death and war-torn Gaza, even as more hospitals face closure due to fuel shortages. Heavy rain and flooding devastated makeshift shelters in Gaza, leaving thousands with up to 30 centimeters (one foot) of water in damaged tents, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies said. The charity Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) has meanwhile warned that three major hospitals further south are on the verge of closing due to fuel shortages.
