The French prosecutors opened an investigation into Elona Musk X for accusations of distorting the algorithms to manipulate a discourse that takes place on the social media platform.
The Paris Prosecutor’s Office announced that on January 12, it received a report from a French MP who criticized X for “biased algorithms” that “probably distorted the operation of the automated data processing system”.
Magistrates and specialized assistants of the Cibernetics Criminal Department at the Office were tasked with analyzing the report and conducting initial technical checks on the platform, the prosecution at CNBC said on Friday on Friday.
