New Sen. Tim Sheehy, R-Mont., who also sits on the committee, wrote on X: “This is a last-minute desperate attempt by Democrats and the media to smear Pete Hegseth and condemn his nomination. Pete’s ex-wife is on the record saying the allegations fake, but the media doesn’t care because it hurts the Republican. No one should fall for this.”
