While Trump’s theoretically remains neutral in Sunday’s game, it seems that he has a sharpness of history with the Eagles dating from his first white house administration.
During his first year in power, Trump repeatedly criticized the NFL players who refused to advocate for the national anthem while symbolically protested in racism. After the Eagles won the Super Bowl that season, most players on the team said she would boycott the traditional appearance at the White House by the championship team.
