Several people are feared dead after a car plowed into a group of people on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, according to authorities.
The driver allegedly got out of the vehicle and fired a weapon. A large police presence was noted at the scene.
“There has been a mass casualty incident at Canal and Bourbon Streets. Please clear the area,” NOLA Ready posted on social media.
The incident happened around 3:15 a.m. at the intersection of Bourbon Street and Iberville, a local news outlet WGNO reported.
Authorities have not confirmed the number of victims involved in the incident.
