Rangers Executive Director Patrick Stewart said that “football review” is taking place at the club after Ibrox legend Barry Ferguson was appointed successor Philippe Clement by the end of the season.
Former Captain Ferguson’s coaching team will include Assistant Clement Manager, Issama Charai and Neil McCann, Billy Dodds and Allan McGregor, with the first game borrowed in Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday (20:00 GMT).
In their first home game since February 9, they kicked them out of the Scottish Cup by the second row of Queen, the 55s champions on Saturday wrapped 2-0 on Saturday to leave 13 points behind the leaders and bitter Rival Celtic and Spiri near Clement’s Kingdom of 14 months.

“It was clear to me that everyone was judged by the results and that no one would get an unlimited time at any role in the club,” Steward said Rangers website.
“Ultimately, the team answer after their early exit from the Scottish Cup was the cause of deep concern, which led the Committee to conclude that the action was now being taken.
“I want to repeat: the problems we face are running deeper than the manager. Football review that is underway to solve these questions, and we will continue to apply its findings in the coming weeks and months before the appointment of a new permanent manager.”

Ferguson, who won the league, the Scottish Cup and the League Cup in two spells in Ibrox, first played for the club between 1997 and 2003 and returned from 2005 to 2009.
The 47-year-old resigned from his last coaching role, at the third level of Alloa Athletic, in February 2022. After winning nine of his 33 matches.
After a brief magic as a Blackpool manager at the 2014 EFL Championships, winning three of the 20 games he supervised, Ferguson spent almost three years in Clyde and Kelty Hearts.
With Clyde, he reached the Scottish Four of the playoffs and won the promotion from Lowland League and the fourth level with Kelty.
“I want to wish Philippe every success in the future,” said Stewart, who was appointed December 2024. “He is a good man I enjoyed working with in my short time here.
“I also want to greet Barry to the club. We appreciate him and his team as they enter the role at this difficult moment. Me, the Committee and the Executive team will provide them with full support for the rest of the campaign.”
