Apple announces an investment in the amount of $ 500 billion in the United States | News Donald Trump
The move comes to the fifth of US President Donald Trump’s threats to impose tariffs that will make the iPhone more expensive abroad.
Apple said he plans to invest more than $ 500 billion in the United States in the next four years, including employment plans for 20,000 people and the construction of a new server factor in Texas.
The move, announced on Monday, arrives just a few days after President Donald Trump said that the Apple Tim Cook Executive Director promised him that the production of a technological giant would be transferred from Mexico to the United States. Trump noted that the company did this to avoid paying the tariff.
This pledge, together with the investment on Monday, came while Trump continues to threaten to impose tariffs that could increase the costs of the iPhone made in China.
“We are bulls in the future of the US innovation and we are proud to build on our long -standing American investments with this $ 500 billion in commitment to the future of our country,” Cook said at the company blog blog.
In his announcement, Apple has outlined several concrete moves, the most significant construction of a new factory in Houston in Texas – which will be opened in 2026 – which will produce an Apple Intelligence supply server and AI feature package. The company claims that this factory will create “thousands of jobs”.
The announcement is similar to one Apple made in early 2018 – during the first Trump administration – which promised to create 20,000 new jobs as part of a 350 billion dollar spending in the USA. Trump then thought about a tariff that could then affect the iPhone, but did not finally target those devices during his first administration.
