Olympic champion Matty Lee – who won gold for Team GB along with Tom Daley at the Tokyo Games 2020. – He announced his retirement from diving.

“After 20 years in sports, it’s time to deviate from diving,” he wrote.
“This decision was not easy, but after I lost my father in 2022, I struggled to find the same passion I once had, he was mine.
Lee debuted in the World Cup at the age of 17 in 2015. Two years later, he won world mixed Synchro Silver, along with Lois Toulson, and then – in the year after the success of the Olympic Games – he took silver in a man at 2022.
The European title also came together with Daley in Budapest in May 2021, the couple warmed up to win in Tokyo, where they defied the chance to beat Chinese Cao Yuan and Chen Aisen in gold by 1.2 points.
