Israeli Minister tells the army to plan to Palestinians to leave Gaza


Israeli’s Defense Minister told his army to prepare a plan to “allow any of the Gaza resident who wants to leave it”, in accordance with President Donald Trump’s proposal for the US to take over the territory and move 2.1 million Palestinians there.

Israel Katz said Gazani should have “freedom of movement and migration,” and the countries critical of Israel’s war with Hamas were “obliged” to take them.

In the meantime, State Secretary has insisted that the relocation will be temporarily during the reconstruction of Gaza, although Trump said it would be permanent.

Palestinian leaders and Arab states rejected the plan and said that forcibly displacing would violate international law.

The UN Secretary General also warned that it was “crucial to avoid any form of ethnic cleansing” and emphasized that Gaza would be an integral part of the future Palestinian state.

The Israeli army launched a campaign to destroy Hamas in response to an unprecedented cross -border attack on October 7, 2023, in which about 1,200 people were killed and 251 was taken to hostage.

More than 47,550 people were killed and 111,600 injured in Gaza has since, according to the Hamas Territorial Ministry of Health.

Most of the Gaza population has also been displaced several times, and almost 70% of its buildings are estimated to have been destroyed or damaged.

Health care systems, water, sanitary and hygiene have been demolished and lacking food, fuel, medicines and shelters.
