Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu proclaimed Tuesday that the interruption of fire in Gaza will end and the army will continue to fight Hamas until it has been defeated if the Palestinian militant group has released hostage by noon on Saturday.
After Netanyahu’s ultimatum, Hamas issued a statement that renewed his commitment to the truce and accusing Israel of threatening him.
The Israeli announcement came after Netanyahu met with several key ministers, including defense, external affairs and national security, which he said had provided an ultimatum with full support.
