Giants the Great Lawrence Taylor reveals what prevented him from leaving football before the Hall of Fame career began

Lawrence Taylor, one of the best defensive players in NFL historyAlmost left football in high school.
But his father did not allow him.
Taylor, 66, talked about almost giving up football while performing at Ouskick’s “Maintenance with Tyrus.”

“I thought he was too much. As I said, when I went out to football in my junior year, I wanted to stop. And … my father looked at me,” You won’t stop, “Taylor recalled.
“And then when I started getting a little bit, he told me,” Hey, you have to be better than the next man just to be equal. “So listen, I’m going after who is ever in front of me, that’s what I have to deal with.”
The Pro Football Hall of Famer has done his 13-year career well in confronting the person in front of him. Taylor spent her entire career with New York Giantswinning two super bowla.

Taylor won the NFL MVP in 1986, becoming one of only two defensive players in NFL history to win the MVP.
In that 1986 season, Taylor had 20½ bags. For Taylor, his goal was simple – find football.
“I think a lot of coaches, or my coaches, allowed me to play the game the way I saw it. (People say) you have to come here, you have to go there. Well, no. I have to go out here, but I’m trying to come here.

The tenfold Pro Bowler had 142 bags in 184 career games.
