England immediately in the title of six nations
England Steve Borthwick played two favorites to raise the Six Nations trophy in Ireland and France, and they came out of those games with six points.
Remember last week in Dublin? Up to 76 minutes England was behind 27-10, but they hit two late attempts to run a bonus bonus that could have been vital.
The late winner of Elliot Dalya against France was their fourth attempt to pull twickenham Tussle and earned a bonus attempt that could be crucial at the business end of the tournament.
This means that Ireland cannot afford to lose the match without losing a bonus-point, while defeat for France means they have to win Dublin on March 8th.
In the meantime, England hosts Scotland and Italy at home before traveling to facing Wales in Cardiff in its remaining knots.
After the floors France, they will imagine that they complete six nations with three further victories, the outcome that would leave them right in the title title
Did England turn the corner?
After defeating the Irish Grand Slam in the last year’s six countries, England lost its next seven tests against Spin against opposition to Tier 1.
They lost to France in Lille, New Zealand in Dunedin and Auckland, New Zealand (again), Australia and South Africa at the Allianz Stadium and Ireland in Dublin. In each of these tests, Borthwick’s side handed over the leadership of the second half.
In order to continue and recover from five minutes to play against France, hitting and winning the game, maybe it’s just a sign that England has finally turned the corner.
“I’m really pleased with the players. Everyone wants that tangible award. I’m very, very proud of them. They work extremely hard and delight the coach. We always believed,” Bortwick said.
England captain Maro Itoje added: “I am a great believer in the mantra ‘I do not become too high with high or too low with the lowest. Easy against a very talented French team.
“We know there are so many in us. We want to stay consistently and we will be honest. We will look at the whole burden in which we can improve. It was not perfect.”
Great Fin Smith looks like a man leading England
The second big move on Saturday was the quality of Fin Smith in Fly-Pol on what was his first start to England.
Marcus Smith has received most of the title in recent years, and his pace with a ball in his hand is great to watch, but England may have just found 10 to help them win things in Northhampton’s fins.
On the eve of the Les Bleus monster package, the 22-year-old was assembled and measured. His shot for Tommy Freeman’s attempt was something he only saw at the stadium, and they groaned the fans in the stands that turned to the fans as the English wing jumped over Louis Bielle-Biarrey to achieve a key attempt.
He was equally skilled with the ball in his hand, playing a perfectly weighted passage to Daly to collect French defense, far from Antoine Dupont and ended up for the moment he got the match.
“I thought he played very well and showed great calm,” Borthwick thought after the match. “Playing so in your first test for England is exceptional.”
English captain Maro Itoje added: “Steve said to the group to be ambitious and brave, and go out and try to try. Our backs were incredibly brave and incredibly ambitious. They took advantage of the possibilities when we may have used a conservative option before we used. The boys were brave and wanted to attack France. “
France blows another opportunity Grand Slam
Did the rugby of the quality of Antoine Dupont in the history of rugby and failed to beat as much as France?
Up to six nations next year, Les Bleus’ Maestro will be 29, and his only Grand Slam or international title has come to date in 2022.
France is not yet out of the title race, of course, and if he goes to Dublin and wins in the 4th round, they would become a chance to raise the trophy, but what a chance for a potential Grand Slam blowing into Twickenham.
Their pure number of errors and errors in processing when they bounded in a promising attacking position in the first half and at the beginning of the second with astonishing.
France will have a huge regret that examined the test and have now been made under great pressure.
Wales Plumb New Depths
Wales’s 22-15 Guinness Six Nations loss from Italy in Rome missed rain left them moving away to another consecutive wooden spoon of the tournament.
Gatland’s Welsh Rugby Union bosses have promised a detailed overview of the appearance in six countries after competition and things can hardly improve, given that the remaining fixtures are against Ireland, Scotland and England.
It was 20th loss of Gatland in 26 tests since returning to another stay at the forefront, the eighth six nations turn in a row, and for the first time Wales suffered defeats against Italy.
They also descended on a new world ranked low 12th place, and Georgia climbed above them after the victory of the Rugby Championship in Europe over the Netherlands in Tbilisi.
For the second week, Wales hit a new low, depth that they would never think is possible. Without a sign of when this misery will end, it seems to be the case when, not if the pressure on Gatland’s position says.
