Smriti Mandhana’s India create history with total of 435/5, surpassing team achievements of Dhoni, Kohli and Rohit


The Indian women’s cricket team made history in the ongoing third ODI match against Ireland Women at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot on Wednesday, January 15. It was absolute carnage by the Indian batsmen as the hosts posted 435/5 on the board against Ireland.

India women’s captain Smriti Mandhana was dismissed in the 12th over and Ireland had to pay the price as she scored her 10th ODI hundred. Mandhana’s opening partner Pratika Rawal also smashed a stunning century to help the hosts break all ODI records for India.

India Women once again make history with the highest ODI total, surpassing the record of the men’s team

By posting 435/5 on the board against Ireland Women in the third ODI at Rajkot, India etched their name in history as they set a new record for the highest ODI total, in both men’s and women’s cricket. India women surpassed the previous best of 418/5 by the Indian men’s team against the West Indies in Indore in 2011 to post the highest ODI total.
