He continued to explain that filmmakers “are not paid for the promotion of the film”, and often times the promotion schedule can interfere with other opportunities to make money by their work.
“If you look at certain films that premiered in Cannes, that was almost a year ago … I mean, our movie premiered in September. So, I do it for six months. And I had zero revenue because I don’t have any revenue because I don’t have any revenue No income because I have no income because I have no income because I have no income because I have no time to go to work.
Nominated for 10 Academy Awards at the Academy of Academy 2025, “Brutalist” is accompanied by a Jewish architect, László Tóth, plays Adrien Brodyas he moves to America after surviving the Holocaust. The movie sees him trying to make enough money to bring his wife and niece to join him in America, when he connects with a rich man who hires him to build a common center.
“I’ve talked to many movie players who have nominated films this year who can’t pay their rent. I mean, that’s the right thing.”

Brody has already won the Golden Globe, Award for the selection of critics And Bafta for his portrait László, and is the leader in the race for the best leading actor at academic awards.
In addition to Corbet and Brody nominations, the movie is also nominated for Best Picture, Best Supporting Actress, Best Spirit Actor, Best Original Scenario and many others.
“I’m grateful to have made a movie that talks about the immense tragedy of time in history,” Brody said in February. “And that this could be said with very little sentimentality, as an almost visual reference of time that cannot be forgotten and a pervasive prank that cannot be neglected.”
