Adam Azim faces his fears one by one.
They include sharks, heights and quiet sitting to read a book.
Sergei Lipinets, however, is not listed among them. Azim is fighting with the former world champion, dangerous and experienced veteran, tonight at Wembley Arena, live on Sky Sports.
“There is no fear of lipinetic. Any opponent I face, I respect them, I respect them a lot, but when I enter that ring, I switch. Sky Sports.
Boxer is a man of action. But he tries to improve. He works to improve his communication skills while preparing for a sports star, and this is what he is reading, starting with Harry Potter.
“Reading a book, there’s a lot of thinking processing by reading a book. I have ADHD. It’s actually hard to sit. I could read a few pages, maybe I would go on the phone, read a few more pages,” Azim explained.
“I think I’d rather fight than sit and read a book. Reading a book sometimes stressful.
“It’s a huge challenge for myself too, because if I want to be better in English, I have to read and be a speaker,” he added. “I never concentrated.
“I have to do things from my comfort zone to sometimes get a better person.”
He intends to continue to win his fears. “I like to do scary things,” Azim said. “I made a parachute. I hate heights. I hate the heights for bits, but that was something on the list of buckets I wanted to do.
“I’ll do others like diving or the like. One thing I hate are sharks …”
But performing in a boxer ring, under the lights in front of thousands of spectators, and against a fighter for all actions that fought with some of the best in sports, is not bothered by him.
“It will be a great fight. Lipinets is obviously a former world champion and the only way to fight is,” Azim said.
“They will try to use that pressure against me. But I love the people who come to me.
“I was hard to train this fight,” he added. “Sergei, he will invest everything in that. Since he has that experience, he will come to start him. I know this will be a really good fight.”
Lipinens himself had a warning for Azima. “He’s on the way of my belt,” said Kazakhh, who is determined to become a double world champion, he said Sky Sports. “He is only 22 years old and has not fought at a level like mine.
“Many champions didn’t fight me because it’s hard,” he added. “It’s a big step because I struggled with good fighters like Mikey Garcia, [Jaron] Ennis, and we will see what is his level. I think he wants to check it too. Is it at the champion level or not yet?
“I respect that he is not afraid to lead this fight, because it is a difficult fight. And we will see if he is ready for that fight or is a big mistake.”
Azim is convinced he is really ready. “Every fight is constantly improving. I feel this struggle will show his full pack as a world -class athlete. And I feel this is time for shine.”
He wants to use this competition to prove that the world champion is in hold.
“It’s my main goal for this fight. I want to do a better job than ‘boots’ [Ennis, the IBF welterweight world champion]. The way ‘Boots’ beat him was actually speed and I have speed. If you were pulling it out, it would be good, “Azim said.
“I hope it will do it faster than six rounds.”
If Azim could read books to challenge himself, as well as searching for other tests for his leisure time, he will still relax after this next fight. This will include re -connecting with his newly acquired pet.
“The goat, I haven’t seen her for a while. She was on the farm, she was nourished, getting bigger,” Azim smiled.
“He kept running away from me, from my hands. He started to settle down. He’s a small baby … I hope he gets bigger and I can take him for a walk.
He added, “I want to be a goat*. So, I had to get a skin.”
