Ambassador Darrell Issa, R-Calif., Announced on Monday in a post on X that he appointed the President Donald Trump For the Nobel Peace Prize.
“Today I will be nominated @realdonalddrdrump for the Nobel Peace Prize. Nobody deserves it anymore,” Issa said in Tvita.
Fox News Digital addressed the Issa office on Tuesday to ask for commentary from congressmen regarding why he decided to appoint a prize president.

“Not since Ronald Reagan has an American president who better represented national determination by peace with power or a fundamental case of a world without war,” Issa said in a statement to Fox News Digital.
“Exceptionally, these were the election of Donald Trump 2024. – More than 10 weeks before he swore – which tangible has started the cause of peace in numerous world regions, and we already see the advantages. I hope the Committee will take into account these extraordinary times and admits that President Trump has ideally highlighted the Peace Award.
President Barack Obama received the Nobel Peace Award in 2009, less than a year of his first term of office.

Ambassador Claudia Tenney, RN.Y., nominated Trump last year for the Nobel Peace Prize.
“Donald Trump has played a key role in facilitating the first new peace agreements in the Middle East in almost 30 years,” said the congress woman, according to a press release in January 2024.
Later in 2024, Tenney appointed Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahuand former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for the award.
