In this week’s Early Review, 17 companies belonging to the S&P 500 financial sector (NYSEARCA:XLF) reported on their earnings for the period ended in December.
In the fourth quarter, XLF progressed 6.6%, which exceeded the increase in the SPY of 2.2%. QTD, XLF increased by 8.1%, above an increase of 3.7% SPY.
