Zimbabwe unveil multi-format squad for home series against Ireland
Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) they revealed their teams for upcoming multi-format series against Irelandshowing a mix of experienced players and promising newcomers. The series comprises one Test match, three One Day Internationals (ODIS) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), with the aim of strengthening Zimbabwe’s cricketing prowess at home.
Test squad: a mix of experience and youth
The one-off Test squad scheduled from 06 to 10 February 2025 at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo includes the ranks as Craig ErvineBrian Bennett, Sean Williams and Bless Muzarabani. Notably, the Test squad contains two raw footy players Vincent Masekesa and the dough of the upper row Nicholas Welch. This selection strategy underlines Zimbabwe’s intention to build for the future while drawing on the experience of its senior players.

A few changes in the ODI unit
Zimbabwe made two changes to their ODI squad, bringing Wessly madhevere and Nyasha Mayavo replace Myers and Joylord Gumbie. However, Myers retained his place in the T20I squad, while Faraz Akram and Takudzwanashe Kaitano are not selected.
