The Bundesliga giants have made contact over the ‘frustrated’ Chelsea defender

Bayer Leverkusen have made contact with Chelsea defender Axel Disasi over a possible January move transferthe report claims.

Disasi appears to be Enzo Maresca’s fifth centre-back, behind Levi Colwill, Wesley Fofana, Benoit Badiashile and Tosin Adarabioyo, and has managed just four Premier League appearances this season.

According to Sky Sports SwitzerlandDisasi is frustrated with his limited role and is now considering leaving Chelsea in January to relaunch his career.

His situation has reportedly caught the eye of Bayer Leverkusen, who have reached out to discuss a winter move as they sweat over the potential departure of captain Jonathan Taha, who is entering the final six months of his contract and has already made it clear he will not sign an extension.

Disasi is also attracting interest from Juventus, but the Serie A side could only offer an initial loan – something that may not be of interest to Chelsea.

For his part, Maresca stressed his desire to keep every player in the squad, but admitted that those fighting for minutes have to decide if they are happy continuing to fight for their future.
