4th match in International League T20 (ILT20) 2025 saw a moment of brilliance from Capital cities of Dubai‘ skipper Sikandar Razawho scored a sensational run-out of the MI Emirates opener Muhammed Waseem. The match, held at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, was action-packed, but Raza’s introduction to the field stood out as the game-changing moment.

In the 5th over of MI Emirates innings, Waseem i Tom Banton found in a critical communication error. Confrontation Dushmanth ChameerWaseem defended the ball back towards the bowler. Chameera fumbled and the ball rolled towards midfield. Chaos ensued.

Unsure at first, Waseem went for a quick single but Banton hesitated and opted to opt out, leaving Waseem stranded at mid-off. Raza, placed in the middle of the attack, quickly collected the ball and unleashed a precise shot that hit the stumps at the bowler’s end, catching Waseem below his crease.
This outstanding effort by Raza not only showcased his athleticism and accuracy, but also gave the Dubai Capitals a much-needed breakthrough on the power play.

MI Emirates post a competitive total
Despite the setback, MI Emirates managed a strong total of 187/7 in their 20 overs. Top performers for MI Emirates were Banton, who scored an impressive 74 off 52 balls with 9 fours and 2 sixes, and Nicholas Pooranwho smashed an incredible 59 off just 29 deliveries, including 6 towering sixes.
