Åberg immediately traveled from San Diego to Florida after his victory for the Beck-to-back match a day later, Helping the Bay golf club up to two winsBefore spending three days with coach Hans Larsson to prepare for the swing of PGA Tour Florida.
“It was pretty busy,” Åberg explained. “We planned to stay from the road and we would work a few days after TGL. It was kind of training and exercise on a horse, which was fun.
“I’ll leave the clubs in the closet for a few days. Me and my girlfriend go to a small place to pull on the night, so it will be good. Besides, it’s kind of an attempt to prepare for the next tournament.
“Bay Hill appears pretty fast, so we’ll try to be ready for that. I appreciate the time at home. I think it’s really nice. I’m not an amazing celebrant, so I could have a couple of glasses of wine.
Early momentum for Europe in the year Ryder Cup?
Åberg’s victory continued the wave of European success in the early season on the PGA tour, after winning Sepp Strak at American Express, winning with two cracks of Rory McIlroy over Shane Lowry at AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and a breakthrough title for Thomas Deattry WM Phoenix.
“I think it’s great,” said åberg, who made his Ryder Cup debut for Europe in their victory in 2023 in Rome. “He talks about the qualities of the European side and I think Luka will be quite pleased when he sees European success on the PGA tour and a European tour.
“I think you somehow expect Rory to play well and he will win the tournaments. I played Toma [Detry] For the first two days in Torrey – he is a great player and I think this year will be a force on the tour.

Augusta in mind for åberg?
Åberg will seek a challenge for the maidenly main title 2025 on the eve of the likely second consecutive appearance of Ryder Cup, one year, from the end of the winner to Scottie Scheffler in his main debut on Masters.
