US authorities have identified the man who drove a pickup truck into a crowd of people celebrating New Year’s Eve in New Orleans. Ten people were killed and more than 30 wounded after the gunman, a 42-year-old American citizen from Texas, rammed into the revelers before opening fire on police officers and being killed at the scene. The FBI said an Islamic State flag was recovered from his vehicle, suggesting the suspect did not act alone.
