The Baath party was dissolved and Ahmed al-Sharaa was appointed president during the transitional period in Syria. Al-Sharaa welcomed the Qatari Emir in Damascus on Thursday, for his first visit to the head of the state since Bashar Al-Assad was demolished last year.
