My message to Americans today is that it is time to act again with the courage, strength and vitality of the greatest civilization in history,” he is expected to Trump will say, according to remarks shared with the WSJ.
Trump will be sworn in as President of the United States on Monday, ushering in a second term and completing one of the most incredible political comebacks in American history.
He will be sworn in, presided over by Chief Justice of the United States John Roberts, at 12 noon EST (17:00 GMT). It was originally supposed to be held in front of the US Capitol, but will now be held inside the convention complex due to the bitter cold.
Trump plans to issue a slew of executive orders after being sworn in as president on Monday to put his stamp on his new administration on issues from energy to immigration.
Two sources familiar with the planning said more than 100 such orders and directives could be issued starting on day one, known internally as a “shock and awe” effort.
