Neil Mulholland’s eight-year-old has been campaigning over fences this season and it will be interesting to see him return over hurdles as he tries to defend his title.

Gold stamp he was an outsider of four when he ran a surprise winner of Noel’s Level 2 Novice Chase at Ascot last time, but he showed great attitude to wear down the leader and fancies himself to continue to do so.

Half an hour later, Bluesman scores a hat-trick for Paul Nicholls’ Ditcheat team, with champion jockey Harry Cobden booked.
