The House MP has previously called the Alliance – which includes the US and Scads of other nations – “The Cold War relic.”
“I would withdraw us from NATO,” Massie said, Washington Post 2022 reported. “It’s a relic of the Cold War. Our involvement should have stopped when [Berlin] Wall fell and the Soviet Union collapsed. “
Lee was critical of the NATO Alliance, describing him as “a big thing for Europe” but a “raw offer for America”.

The senator called on the US to consider the departure of NATO, and in some cases explicitly approved the prospect of withdrawing USA.
“NATO members have to be paid now,” Lee said in tweet. “If they don’t, and maybe even if they are – now you should think seriously about leaving NATO,” he continued. “We won the Cold War,” the senator remarked. “Long ago, in fact.”
“Amen!” Exclaimed Lee in Tvit when he replied to someone who stated, “Let’s leave NATO.”
“Let’s go!” MP wrote in response to two separate places suggesting that the president Donald Trump You should pull now from NATO.
