The club have made an offer to sign the £380,000-a-year Chelsea ace who wants to leave Stamford Bridge

The club has now made a new approach to signing a contract with a member Enzo Maresca‘with Chelsea team this January, and the player himself reportedly wants to leave Stamford Bridge before the window closes.

Chelsea’s plans for January

As has been the case in previous windows, Chelsea are expected to be busy this winter, with the club looking to make a change Premier League form.

After a great start to the campaign, the Blues are now without a win in their last four games, two of which they drew, so their grip on the top four is weakening.

Much of that has come down to an injury to Wesley Fofana, who Maresca has suggested could be sidelined for the rest of the season, something that could prompt them to sign another centre-back in the coming weeks.

“Probably with the injuries to Wes and Benoit, we’ll see if anything happens [in the transfer market]”, explained Maresca after drew with Crystal Palacein which Josh Acheampong deputized in the heart of the defence.

A significant departure from the Blues is also expected, with Ben Chilwell he is likely to leave on loan or for good after failing in the Premier League during the first half of the campaign.

Carney Chukwuemeka is another player likely to leave, although more likely on loan, while the BBC also reports that “Harvey Vale should leave the club on a permanent deal” and Alex Matos could also leave.

Now the fifth player could be on the move, with the bid already set.

Chelsea have received an offer to sell the midfielder

This comes according to a report by Gianluca di Marzio, who claims this Torino offered Cesare Casadei from Chelsea this winter. Midfielder, who Maresca rated as “very good” after one performance earlier in the campaign, he struggled for minutes at Stamford Bridge.

As a result, he has been the subject of much speculation in Italy, with clubs positioning themselves to offer him a return to his homeland as early as January.

According to Di Marzio, Torino is currently the side most keenly seeking his signature, and the two parties are in negotiations. The Torino side have so far offered just €12m plus a “percentage of future resale” and Chelsea have responded by asking €20m for the Italian to leave with a favorable buy-back clause.

For his part, Casadei has given “priority” to Torino and has already agreed to the move, wanting to seal the exit from Stamford Bridge. It is added that “there are new contacts between the parties [clubs] they expect between Tuesday and Wednesday,” with the hope that they could meet halfway through the Italians.

Casadei’s £390,000 a year he still has nearly four years left on his contract at Stamford Bridge, but a move away from Stamford Bridge could be just what he needs to restart his career, while Chelsea could capitalize on the talent they signed from Inter two years ago for an initial £12.6m.
