Taiwanese stocks rise at close of trade; Taiwan rose 1.37% according to Investing.com
Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the stock and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, added 1.37%.
The best performers of the session were New Asia Construction & Development Corp (TW:), which rose 9.84% or 1.50 points to trade at 16.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Sercomm Corp (TW: ) added 8.93% or 10.00 points to end at 122.00 and Taimid Tech Inc (TW:) was up 8.66% or 5.50 points to trade at 69.00 at the close.
The worst performers of the session were Universal Inc (TW: ), which fell 9.87% or 3.80 points to trade at 34.70 at the close. Adimmune Corp (TW:) declined 7.24% or 1.85 points to end at 23.70 and Mao Bao Inc (TW:) declined 6.88% or 2.20 points to 29.80.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising stocks on the Taiwan Stock Exchange 0 to 0.
Shares of New Asia Construction & Development Corp (TW:) rose to an all-time high; gaining 9.84% or 1.50 to 16.75. Shares in Taimide Tech Inc (TW:) rose to 3-year highs; gaining 8.66% or 5.50 to 69.00.
Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.48% or 0.37 to $76.74 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent crude for March delivery rose 0.39% or 0.31 to $80.23 a barrel, while February gold futures rose 0.42% or 11.31 to 2,693 .61 dollars per troy ounce.
USD/TWD rose 0.22% to 33.05, while TWD/CNY was unchanged 0.22% to 0.22.
US dollar index futures fell 0.05% to 109.05.
