Realtor accused of killing clients at gunpoint of their son: police


North Carolina authorities arrested a Realtor based in Greenville while investigating a triple murder and four different crime scenes.

David Hansen Lever, 55, is accused of three murders in connection with the murders, according to the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office. Police arrested Lever after the son of two of the victims held him at gunpoint.

The investigation began on January 10 when detectives located three homicide victims with gunshot wounds.

“As a result of interviews and evidence collected at each location, the preliminary investigation reveals that the incidents are related, however, this is an active investigation,” the sheriff’s office said in a Saturday news release.

Among the three victims were a married couple, Tony Gribble (80) and Paula Gribble (76), as well as 64-year-old Enrique Reyes. Authorities said Monday Lever’s relationship to Reyes is unclear, but the Gribbles used Lever as a relative when they bought their house in 2014. according to WITN.

“Tonight was supposed to be Sunday dinner, but it wasn’t,” their son, TD Gribble, he told WCTI.

Sheriff Paula Dance said during a news conference Monday that if the Gribbles’ son had not held Lever at gunpoint, he might have killed more victims. according to WITN.

Dance also said authorities found more than 50 weapons at Lever’s home. They also found a firearm and ammunition in his van, WITN reports.

Lever appeared in court Monday and called District Court Judge Daniel Entzminger “mother——,” according to the paper.

TD Gribble described his parents as faithful and loving in an interview with WCTI.

“My dad was a scout marine: two and a half tours in Vietnam, five Purple Hearts, Bronze Star Combat V. My mom was a nurse educator at Coastal for 39 years with the state,” the TD told the outlet.
