Potter hails West Ham ‘togetherness’ after recording ‘far from perfect’ first win against Fulham

“Only one team was on the field trying to win until we conceded the first goal we gave them.

“We controlled the game and hit the crossbar. We showed quality until then, but we have to keep the standard throughout the game.

“We also had another goal from Raul Jimenez and even with the mistakes we made in the first half, the result could have been completely different if we had been clinical.

“In the second half, we knew we had to start strong and score early in order to come back and get a result. We succeeded and then we scored another goal for them. We did everything much more than West Ham.

“We were dominant, as in all games. But that didn’t affect the result at all, but this is the reality of the Premier League.”
