Raphinha made a shocking admission of the Barcelona transfer due to the fiasco with the registration of Dani Olmo

Raphinha admitted that the chaos surrounding the registration of Dani Olmo in La Liga could be promising signing think twice about joining Barcelona this year.

Barcelona signed Olmo last summer for close to 60 million euros, but could only register him temporarily thanks to Andreas Christensen’s injury. That registration expired on December 31 and the Blaugrana failed to secure an extension before the deadline.

La Liga repeated the decision that players cannot get another registration for the same club in one season, leaving Barcelona forced into a last desperate struggle the Spanish government to try to secure a second license for Olmo, who can terminate his contract and leave on a free transfer if he is not registered, and young striker Pau Victor, who finds himself in the same dilemma.

“It’s a very complicated situation,” Raphinha told the media. “We never want to go through those moments, they are complicated both for us and for them who don’t know if they will play or not.

“We are trying not to make it so difficult for them. We hope that those responsible will solve it as soon as possible so that they can play with us again.

“We have to hope this is resolved quickly. We have to wait. The truth is we know the same as you. We’ve tried to stay focused on doing our jobs. I hope the people who have to resolve this can do so and give us the good news quickly. “

Asked if the uncertainty surrounding Olmo and Victor could affect other players, Raphinha admitted: “Yes, I can’t say no. I would lie and I don’t like to lie.

“If I was in another club and I was experiencing the situation that Pau and Dani are in, I might think about whether it would be better to be here. When I arrived here, I knew what situation the club was in.”

It was announced that Olmo could leave Barcelona on loan this monthwhile there were also claims of a unique deal that would see Olmo leave the club on a free transfer and rejoin in the summer after six months elsewhere.
