PDC Tour Qualifying School: Fallon Sherrock reaches last 16 on day two but misses out on final stage | News about darts
Fallon Sherrock was one match short of automatically advancing to the final stage of the qualifying school.
Sherrock won four matches on day two of the UK Qualifying School in Milton Keynes, but was beaten 5-3 by Ireland’s John O’Shea in the last 16.
However, thanks to her good run on Tuesday, fighting back from 4-1 against Martin Grearson in the top 64 to win with a 121 checkout and a 12-dart leg, she has moved up to 25th on the Order of Merit and looks anything but certain that the team via reserve your place in the final stage.
The PDC Qualifying Schools give any darts player aged 16 and over the chance to earn a two-year PDC Tour Card, with the Qualifying School taking place at venues in the UK and Germany simultaneously over a seven-day period.
The top eight from each day automatically qualify for the final stage, while the remaining places in the final stage – up to a total of 128 in each place – are decided by Order of Merit.
Nathan Girvan, O’Shea, Scott Campbell, Kelvin O’Keefe, Michael Flynn, Jim Moston, Ted Evetts and Jamie Atkins booked their places on the final stage of day two.
