MSNBC Anchor Corrects Correspondent On Air: They’re “Undocumented Immigrants”
MSNBC correspondent Priya Sridhar corrected network anchor Alex Witt on Sunday after he used the term “illegal aliens” instead of “undocumented immigrants. “
Sridhar reported that active duty troops have been sent to El Paso, Texas to block illegal border crossings and help arrest and deport illegal immigrants. “I want you to watch this video that we saw this morning from DEA, ATF and Homeland Security investigators from the Rocky Mountain Field Division in Colorado,” Sridhar said. “There you can see the raid that was conducted this morning. They say they targeted a Venezuelan gang and they were able to see cash, take money, guns and actually make an arrest of ’50 illegal aliens, Alex.”
“Yes, we call them undocumented immigrants,” Witt said. “But that, again, was in the DEA release. All right. Thank you very much, Priya, for that from El Paso.”
