Manchester United they are now moving forward with a deal to sign a new defenseman Reuben Amorim this month, it was reported, with the club looking to improve their ranks for the second half of the campaign.

One player is already on his way out Brazilian winger Antonywho is set to end his torrid spell at Old Trafford and sign for Spanish side Real Betis on loan in the coming days, while more departures could follow in the final days of the transfer window.
To combat that, the Red Devils are also looking to strengthen their own ranks, and are now moving forward with a deal for a versatile new defender for Amorim.
Manchester United open negotiations for the Lecce star
Now the reliable David Ornstein has revealed that the Red Devils are opening talks over a deal to sign the exciting talent of fullback Patrick Dorgu from Lecce this month.
An in-demand talent, Dorgu has been linked with everything at various times in the last 12 months Tottenham, Liverpool and Chelseabut United appear to be trying to make a move for the versatile Dane, who can play on either flank, as a full-back or a winger.

He was called an “elite team player” with “tremendous physicality” by one analystand has demonstrated his versatility this campaign for the Serie A side, spending most of it on the right wing despite being primarily a left-back.
According to Ornstein, “discussions have begun” and “nothing has been agreed yet, but dialogue is progressing” over a deal to sign the defender this month, while Fabrizio Romano adds the good news that Dorgu is “100% ready to go” and that Lecce are holding out for €40m (£34m), a fee considered relatively cheap compared to the likes of Nuna Mendes, Rayan Ait Nouria and Milos Kerkez, who were also being considered by Manchester United.

Still only 20, Dorgu would certainly be a smart signing for the Red Devils given his physical prowess, while he is well-suited to playing in a back three/five, which has worked well for both club and country.
Equally, his salary wouldn’t be too high, as Dorgu signed a new contract in October, but still only brings home £900,000 per annum (£10.5k per week) how things are. Even with a big increase in those terms, he would be among Manchester United’s lowest earners.
If he proves successful, he could be the long-term answer to the club’s left-back problems Diego Leonwhose arrival is expected in the coming months.
