Huge Athens Crowds require justice for a train fall in 2023.
The riot police clashed with protesters in Athens, after thousands of people gathered to demand justice for victims of the worst railway disaster in Greece, in which 57 people were killed.
In 2023, a passenger service that transported 350 people collided with a freight train near the Greek village of Tempi, causing the front carriage to be passed into flames.
“I have no oxygen” is the main slogan of protest – which refers to the finding that many were killed not because of the collision itself, but by fire caused by banned chemicals in the freight train.
The collision has encouraged a wide condemnation of security standards on Greek railways, as well as a state treatment with a subsequent investigation.
The video shows the police that the tear gas shoots, while the protesters threw sticks and other objects toward the officers.
