Hamas to release a civilian in the center of the Row
Hamas will release six hostages this week and Israel will allow Gazans to return to their homes in the north starting Monday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says.
The hostages include Arbel Yehud – the civilian at the center of the row that led to Israel delaying the return of Gazans to northern Gaza.
Hamas released the four soldiers on Saturday, but not Ms. Yehud. Israel has accused Hamas of violating a cease-fire agreement that first freed Israeli civilians in exchange for the release of Palestinian prisoners.
Since the ceasefire agreement came into force, seven hostages and more than 200 prisoners have been released.
