Blackburn manager John Eustace has now confirmed his side are interested in signing the “special” Leeds United player.

Given the fact that White is sitting on top Priority table, perhaps it’s no surprise to see that they haven’t done any transfer business yet this month. However, this does not mean that the club or Daniel Farke they’re not looking at players, as reports keep popping up about potential targets they have in mind.

A report recently claimed that Leeds are looking for a new goalkeeper in this transition period, given the mistakes Illan Meslier made during this campaign, even though Farke publicly supported him. As in the search for a new goalkeeper, Leeds scouts were watching Bali Mumba in action for Plymouth Argyle this weekend, while being watched more closely.
The defender is familiar to Farke as he gave him his Premier League debut with Norwich City, and with the German looking to improve his full-back options, they could be reunited. Apart from the potential arrivals, Leeds should see a player leaving Elland Road, ace Joe Gelhardt is closing in on a move to Hull City. The striker is set to join the Tigers on a six-month loan as he looks for more football.
Eustace confirms the January transfer interest of the Leeds player
Gelhardt may not be the only player to leave Leeds, as the Blackburn Rovers boss told The Lancashire Telegraph Eustace has confirmed that Patrick Bamford is on the list of potential targets for this month.
Bamford, who was called “special” by former Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa, has been at Elland Road for seven seasons after joining the club from Middlesbrough in 2018. The forward has been an important player for the club but recent reports suggest his time at Leeds could be coming to an end, despite under contract until 2026.
In December, it was announced that the Whites could be released £70,000 a week the man is leaving this month and now it seems that Blackburn are one side interested in his services.
Eustace revealed he believes Bamford is a good player and admitted he is on their watch list: “Patrick is a very good player. I played with him at Derby way back when he started.
“He is a consistent performer at this level; he plays for a big club in Leeds. But there will be a lot of names thrown at me, and I’ll just say they’re good players. You have to ask the club. He’s a long-list player we’ve looked at, and we’ll have to see.”
