Cowboys’ Brandon Aubrey apologizes after kickoff goes wrong, punches cheerleader in head
AND Dallas Cowboys cheerleader shared the apology she received from football player Brandon Aubrey after he hit her in the back of the head with the ball during the first half of Sunday’s game against the Washington Commanders.
Michelle Siemienowski was standing on the sidelines when Aubrey’s punt went out of bounds near the 10-yard line at AT&T Stadium.
Despite the cameraman’s attempts to bounce the ball, hit Siemienowski in the back of the head, knocking her down.

She stood up quickly as her teammates checked on her. The broadcast caught Siemienowski smiling after the incident.
She took to social media on Monday to say she was “fine” and to thank everyone for reaching out. She also shared with fans a note Aubrey wrote her apologizing.
“The past 24 hours have been hectic! I’ve gotten a ton of messages and I wanted to thank you all for reaching out and for your kind words. I’m fine, so there’s no need to worry,” she wrote in a post on her Instagram Stories.

“Also… Thank you [Aubrey] for this apology! I was told that he wanted to come and find me on the field after the incident, but unfortunately I continued to move around the field. He was kind enough to write me a message anyway! No anger here! And now I have a souvenir for my last game of my debut season!”
A message from Aubrey read: “Michelle, sorry I hit you (kicker)! Hope you’re doing well! I love watching you!”

Despite Sunday’s loss to commanders and kickoff accidents, Aubrey set a record 40 field goals this season and became just the fifth kicker in NFL history with at least 40 field goals.
