L’O Homme Presse narrowly denied the galastal stage star in an exciting peak of Betfair Cotswold Chase in Cheltenham.
After finishing the fourth in the Golden Cup last March and became the best from the local team when the third was re -appeared in King George VI Chase on Boxing Day, Venetiia Williams trained L’Homme Presse was sent to 4/5 on cement on cement On cement his status leading hopes for this year’s blue tape.
But in Stage Star, which mostly struggled from winning the Paddy Power Power Power 2023 Golden Cup in Cheltenham for Paul Nicholls, he came against a valuable opponent.
For the first time, he approached more than three miles, Stage Star was obviously enjoying the early stage under Harry Cobden, with L’homme Presse and Irish Raider Gentlemansgame the only two who could go with him.
The L’O Homme Presse was a stage star from home, but the latter refused to bend in front and only in the dying steps the leader in the market was able to enter the top in the hands of Charlie Deutsch, with three quarters and the length of the winning margin.

Eastern Indian Dock is delivered again in triumph trial at Cheltenham
Eastern Indian Dock produced a dominant front screen to maintain its undefeated record over obstacles in Juvenile obstacle JCB Triumph in Cheltenham.
The high-class performer in October began his jumping career well in Wincanton, and after following at Cheltenham in November, he returned to Cotswolds as 1/2 favorite to complete his hat-trick in his hands himself twiston-Davies.
Sent straight to leadership, James Owen’s charge jumped fast and only French Raider Stencil managed to go with him from a home turn.
But Eastern India Dock soon imprinted his authority at the escape competition until the last flight and went through it to put a seal on a comprehensive 10 -length victory in the colors of the Gredley family.
The bookmakers were appropriately impressed, and the companies wiped out the prospect of the winner for a triumphant obstacle at the Cheltenham Festival to 3/1 from 6/1. Ascota Nicky Hunderson, Lulamba, remains 6/4 favorites for the main event in March.
Owen said, “He is a beautiful horse with a great future and had to put his leg in the door for March.
“From horses descending from the apartment, he is very economical, he is not eager, he houses and he deals with this new course as well as the elderly [Course, in November].
“I wouldn’t replace him for anything, and he’s a beautiful horse. What a privileged position we went out to go outside and gave him a good positive ride, he wanted to go out and make a run, and he knows what he was doing.
“He was probably more economical there than was the last day when he was a bit dazzling, but it was probably until herself who holds on to him and the ground. She loves jumping and revives her obstacle.”
The semi -Srot Burdett Road East India Dock was a high -class minor for Owen and Gredleys last season, winning at Cheltenham in November, before Sir Gino considered too much 12 months ago. After that, he missed a triumphant obstacle after suffering failure.
“There are so hard to compare them, and through obstacles Burdett Road beat only the Hill Constitution, Lossiemouth and Sir Gino and they are three of the best. Burdett is just a very good horse,” Owen continued.
“This guy has a long way to reach those heights, but we can bring him over her fingers in March and start well.
“Eastern India Dock will be pretty lazy at home and will just beat the horse he works with. He occasionally works with Burdett Road and can’t beat him, but he makes the rest and is just such a good attitude.
“He had a busy campaign in the apartment, and last year I learned a lot on Burdett Road. We gave this horse a break and obviously went to the finals (in Chepstow) with Burdett and may have had a gallop that day instead of preparing it for running , and then I was too light to come here [for this race last year].
“He wouldn’t beat cheese Gino in a form, but this is a beautiful horse that rests nicely and it is good to improve fitness. This was a glowing stone for a triumph and he is a simple and very good horse.
“The shape of this horse is solid and I would not replace it for anything. We will discover in March where we fit in with Lulamb, but there will be others.”
Twistn-Davies added: “I hope it will have a lot of real attributes means it will happen on Friday at Cheltenham.
“He is pleased to drive and he has the right way to do a jump, which makes him very good.”
The joint coach Noel George was delighted with the performance of Stercil’s runners, who could also be a cheltenham festival tied.
He said, “I thought he would turn to start a massive race, and James (Reveley) thought he was going well, but then the winner sprinted again and I would say he was very good.
“I was delighted with our guy – he’s a big horse and takes a lot of work and a race. He’ll probably improve a little for it, but if we get to the winner’s standard, it’s hard to say.
“Since we are a big horse, we may need to consider wearing a great weight in the bodies (juvenile handicap obstacle), but he will be a nice hunt next year. He will have an exciting future.”
