Chelsea are making a repeat move for Salah with a “world-class” gem set to be sold soon

It’s no secret that Chelsea they are known for splashing money in recent years, especially since the arrival of an American businessman Todd Boehly still in May 2022.

He was sprayed over £1.3 billion in new signings since taking over at Stamford Bridge, highlighting his ambition to improve the current side for Enzo Marescawhile keeping one eye on the future.

The likes of Cole Palmer, Moises Caicedo and Jadon Sancho appear to be worth the investment, impressing in Premier League during the 2024/25 season, giving the Blues every chance of securing a top-four finish.

However, fans have more reason to be positive, with youngsters Kendry Paez and Esteva William set to join the club in the near future, with the pair really hoping to transform into world-class talents.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for another young talent, who looks set to leave the Blues despite arriving with real expectations, but has since failed to break into the first team in west London.

The Chelsea star has agreed to join Serie A

According to TEAMtalk, Chelsea’s Italian midfielder Cesare Casadei has agreed personal terms with Serie A side Torino ahead of a potential permanent move this January.

A 21-year-old man arrived at Most in 2022 from Inter Milanoriginally joined the academy before loan spells at Reading and Leicester City, with the latter under current boss Maresco.

Expectations rose further after he won Golden boot and player of the tournament award for the U20 World Cup last year, but ultimately failed to catapult into the first team this season – making just six appearances, none of which came in the league.

The report claims the youngster is interested in the move, but a fee is yet to be agreed, s The Blues want 20 million euros (16.6 million pounds)but Torino has yet to match such a figure with its own starting bid of €12m (£10m).

While it might make sense to cash in on Casadei in the short term, his potential departure could lead to a repeat of a player who left too soon and has since become a world-class talent.

Why Casadei could repeat Salah for Chelsea

Winger Mohamed Salah joined Chelsea back in January 2014 from Switzerland’s FC Basel, looking to provide additional quality to the club’s attacking department.

However, his time in the capital was unsuccessful, struggling mightily to get the game time needed to succeed, appeared only 19 times during his time at Most.

He subsequently spent various loan spells in Italy with Fiorentina and Roma, before joining the latter permanently in the summer of 2016 – a move that would catapult him to stardom.

Egyptian scored 19 goals in 41 gameswhich led to a A £34m transfer to English rival Liverpool just a year after his initial move to Italy – achieving staggering numbers since his move.

Now the 32-year-old has scored more than 200 times for the Redsscoring more than 20 goals in every campaign during his time at Anfield, with this year arguably his best – registration 18 goals and 13 assists in only 19 league games.

In hindsight, the decision to fire Salah prematurely is regrettable, and the same could happen in the form of midfielder Casadei 11 years later.

The 21-year-old, who was previously called “world class” journalist Tom Overend’s talent, showed during his loan spell with the Foxes that he has the ability to improve if given the chance, but has found himself down the pecking order of late, just as Salah did before his move to Italy.

No doubt, he is in serious need of regular minutes to reach the potential he arrived with, but a loan move would be of great benefit to both parties – leaving the door open for a potential first-team place in 2025/26.

However, Chelsea’s loss looks set to be Torino’s gain, with a permanent transfer back to Italy likely to be regretted by the club’s hierarchy if he thrives with increased opportunities in his homeland.
