Bill Maher has made it clear how he feels about the “lunatics” in him democratic parties in an interview with the Wall Street Journal on Saturday.
When asked why he makes fun of the left more than before, he replied: “You’re damn right, because you give me more material. I’m a comedian. I go where the gold is.” Maher expanded on his comedy, adding, “I think humor is one of the best ways to get to the truth, maybe the best, especially in politics,” and that “When someone laughs, it’s unintentional. So you can make the audience acknowledge to agree with you even if they really don’t want to.”
The questioner replied by saying, “But the awake do not always laugh.” Maher agreed, replying, “This is one of the problems I have with the left. They can’t stand to have to endure a moment of hearing something they don’t already agree with. It’s not that the right doesn’t do it, too, but the left does it worse. “

Maher also touched on how his liberal friends can’t stand the fact that he invites conservative guests, like Ann Coulter, to his show. “‘I had liberal friends who just couldn’t stand it. Just think what this is,’ Bill makes a dramatic pause, ‘it’s people who hate me because I won’t hate,’ repeating again, ‘People who hate me because I won’t hate.'”
After being asked, “Why is it impossible for people on the left to be sympathetic to those they disagree with?” Maher responded, saying, “It’s in their psychological profile, they just have this need for virtue signaling, and for their friends — and I guess everyone on social media — to think of them as good people. ‘We’re good people. We . we know who’s good, and it’s us.”
While many speculate whether Maher is considering switching parties, Maher dismisses the idea, stating, “Many Republicans say, ‘Maybe we could get Bill Maher.’ No, you can’t. What you get is Bill Maher being honest about the left. I will not join your team that does not believe in democracy.”
Although he doesn’t plan to switch parties himself, Maher pointed out that there are voters who “are not very enthusiastic about Trump, are not blind to his many flaws, but just feel that the crazy on the left is somehow worse. I don’t disagree with them, but I understand that they don’t I hate that they voted for him.”

Maher also had a few choice words for the younger generation, one of his problems with them being “that they have no idea, no perspective. Of course, if they went to elite universities, ie a—h– – factories, indoctrinated are in this idea that they live in the worst country in the world at the worst time in history, when in fact they live, with all our faults, still probably the best, with definitely undoubtedly the best time in history.”
While Maher believes what the country needs is a metaphorical “large intestine,” he adds that he’s “like America” and that “America doesn’t need a revolution,” contrary to what some on the political fringes believe.
He believes Republicans will dominate Democrats at the polls until the Democratic Party can “convince itself that this is a misunderstood vehicle for what the people really want,” adding, “They often say, when they lose an election, ‘We Are’ doesn’t get our message across.” ‘ Yeah, they didn’t like it. You said it loud and clear.”

In Maher’s closing statement of the interview, it’s as if he’s addressing himself Vice President Kamala Harris alone, he declared, “You lost a crazy contest to a real crazy person. Congratulations.”
