Palisades Charter High School is engulfed in flames from wildfires raging in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles.
The burning property, a popular location for Hollywood productions, was severely damaged by the wildfires.
“Palisades Charter High School, an independent charter high school, is currently closed. Therefore, no specific actions for students or staff are warranted at this time,” the Los Angeles school system announced.

“Los Angeles Unified will offer us all the help we can Palisades Charter High School students and employees.”
The school announced on its website that it will provide updated information on the spring semester schedule. Students and families are advised to avoid the area and follow evacuation orders.
“Please stay safe!” the note concluded.
At around 5:30 pm PT on Tuesday, Palisades Charter High School’s football stadium was partially engulfed in flames. The lot was reportedly on fire, as the embers swirled around the affected area. The baseball field was destroyed and some of the buildings were destroyed. Wind gusts were from 35 to 40 km/h.
Fortunately, the school’s 3,000 students have not yet returned to the institution as they are currently on winter break.

The horror classic “Carrie” as well as “Freaky Friday” starring Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis were filmed at the high school. The television series “Teen Wolf” was also filmed there.

About 30,000 residents have been ordered to evacuate as wildfires rage through the Pacific Palisades. The inferno has engulfed homes in the posh area, including those belonging to celebrities.

The Palisade firedriven by strong Santa Ana winds, it started in the Santa Monica Mountains late Tuesday morning and quickly consumed 200 acres within an hour, growing to nearly 3,000 acres by sundown, FOX Weather reported.
Celebrities, including Curtis, shared photos of the “scary situation.”
“My community and probably my home is on fire. My family is safe. A lot of my friends are going to lose their homes,” Curtis said in part as he shared the photo of what looks like a broken window with a view of wild fires.
“If ever there was a need to use the phrase MY HAND IN YOURS, it’s right now. Take care of each other. Get out of the way and let the firemen do their job. Pray if you believe it, and even if you don’t, pray for those who do.”
Reality TV star Spencer Pratt and wife Heidi Montag lost their home in a fire, the couple confirmed on their Snapchat accounts on Tuesday.

In a series of videos, “The Hills” star. he showed how the fire quickly moved over the hill towards their property.
“Well, this doesn’t look good,” Pratt said as he filmed the fire on the mountain behind their home. “I saw the flames coming for the first time. Aw, man. Okay, I think I’ll go pack.”

Actor Chris Pratt posted on X and asked people to join him in praying for the “brave firefighters who sacrifice so much to save our homes and our city.”
Candace Cameron Bure shared a picture of the wildfire online and wrote that it was “devastating to watch”.
Several other celebrities including Derek Hough from “Dancing with the Stars,” shared photos of the fire on his Instagram profile and said he and his wife were preparing to evacuate with their pets.
“Winds are 100 mph and we are packing up, preparing to evacuate our five animals JUST IN CASE,” Hough wrote. “It’s scary with the power lines exploding around us and the fires spreading so quickly.”

Meanwhile, the fifth wildfire in Southern California – the Woodley Fire – broke out in Los Angeles County.
The fire broke out around 6:15 a.m. local time Wednesday and has so far burned about 75 acres around the Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Refuge in Encino, according to Cal Fire.
Zero percent is currently contained.
California Governor Gavin Newsom has declared a state of emergency, warning that the strongest winds are expected between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 5 a.m. Wednesday.
More than 200,000 people were without power in Los Angeles County by Tuesday evening.
