As Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 Season Approaches, all ten teams confirmed their captains for the upcoming tournament. The season should start on March 22, and several teams presented new leadership after significant changes during mega auction.
Key changes and notable captains
Delhi capital have been named Axar Patel As their new captain after departure Rishabh pantieswhich will now run Lucknow Super Giants.
Kolkat Knight Riders, the ruling champions, have appointed Ajinkya rahane as their captain, replacing Shreyas iyerwho moved to Punjab Kings.
Royal Challengers Bengalur will lead Rajat Patidarmarking changes from previous seasons below Faf du dusis.

1) Ruturaj Gaikwad (Chennai Super Kings)
