Ben Stokes ready to become a new English captain white ball
The General Director of England, Rob Key, claimed that Allrounder Ben Stokes is interested in the role of a white ball captain. Key revealed that Stokes had not yet offered the captain, but Allrounder had not refused to pick up the role.
Ben Stokes is currently a captain of the England test and has not played any play with a white ball from the Gno Cup 2023. For the last few years of his career he has interfered with various injuries and spent most of his time in recovery or rehabilitation.
Due to his body prone to injuries, Stokes has been prioritized by a test cricket for England. Both he and the brandon McCullum are responsible for bringing in a unique style style known as ‘Bazball’ into a test test in England.

Ben Stokes interested in becoming English captain white ball: Rob Key
Rob Key is believed to have already conveyed the idea of the white ball captain Ben Stokes. Key met Stokes at a training camp for Abu Dabi, where he completed rehabilitation after suffering a left lower leg injury last year.
Key asked at the BBC Radio 5 about Ben Stokes’s response after considering the English captain of the white ball. Key revealed that he had not yet offered Stokes the captaincy, but claimed he had informed Allround and received a positive answer in return.
“I didn’t really talk to him about it, to be honest. I (just) told him the other day, (after) when I did a round table with written journalists and said (Stokes):” Oh, by the way, I just said you were considering for a white ball gig, “Key said.
“And he somehow puts emoji and such things thumbs, as if saying,” OK “-I don’t have offered it to him, but they are the conversations we have,” added the ECB director.
“I’ll think pretty hard” – Rob Key
Rob Key further mentioned that there was no possibility that Ben Stokes was a captain, although he was among the leaders for the role. He believes that Stokes should be given time to return properly, and then decides depending on his future in a crisis of 50.
“I will think quite hard, along with a few other people, in the next few weeks and try to elaborate what we think is best,” said former English cricket.
“I think it’s interesting with Stokes and if 50 crickets are for him, but then he is currently outside in Abu Dabi, going back, and obviously the risk of it is,” he added.
The bitter end of Jos Buttler to the captain’s mandate
Jos Buttler resigned as captain of the white ball after only a few days of the campaign of the Tim trophy trophy. England lost to Afghanistan and did not qualify for the semifinals.
As a result, Buttler decided to give up the captain. Together with Stokes, Vice President Harry Brook is another candidate for this role, but he is still young and remains to be seen if he can handle a work load.
