Spicy Pakistan versatile Shoaib Malik officially bid farewell to Karachi Kings. This ended his four-season stay with the former PSL champions. His departure was confirmed just before the PSL Season 10 player draft.
Shoaib Malik parted ways with Karachi Kings
In a personal message posted on his X account (formerly Twitter), Malik expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the franchise and its supporters. He reflected on his time with the team, saying he was grateful for the memories and connections he made during his time with the Kings.
“I would like to announce that my time with Karachi Kings has come to an end. It was a great experience playing for this amazing franchise and teammates,” Malik wrote.

Malik, who was a part PSL since its inception in 2016, thanked the management of Karachi Kings, especially team owner Salman Iqbal, for their unwavering support.
“During my two stints with the team, Salman Iqbal and the management have been super accommodating and supportive,” he added.
Joining the PSL draft for the first time
What makes this announcement even more significant is Malik’s confirmation that he will enter the PSL player draft for the first time.
“All the best to you guys. I am looking forward to being part of the PSL draft for the first time and an exciting season ahead,” he concluded.
The move marks a new chapter in Malik’s PSL career as he explores new opportunities to continue contributing to the league.
PSL Stalwart
Shoaib Malik has been a mainstay of the Pakistan Super League since its inception. He has represented three different franchises over the years: Karachi Kings, Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi.
With 2336 runs in 91 matches, Malik is currently the fourth leading run-scorer in PSL history. His average is an impressive 33.37 and he has proved to be a reliable middle-order player for his teams.
Apart from his batting prowess, Malik has shown his all-round ability by taking 17 wickets during his PSL career.
