‘Just calmed down’ – the slot advocates players while Liverpool increases the lead on the Premier League Summit

Arne Slot welcomed the calm that his players showed after we called “mental challenges” while Liverpool extended the lead at the top of the Premier League at 13 points with a 2-0 victory over Newcastle on Anfield.

“After Everton, after playing the villa and Wolves, people began to doubt some things about our game,” Slot said. “But we responded so well against the city and suddenly everyone was so positive again.

“For all the mental challenges we had, the players were just calm and did the things they had to do, which is more possible for another team to play against us.

“Most of the time our quality makes the difference then.”

Liverpool chief refused to draw a conversation on raising the title, insisting that there was a “long way” and that his team was “not focused in the long run.”

But the groove quickly praised the work of Szoboszlai, adding that Hungarian “runs for two players”.

“It deserves even more loans than scoring a goal. But it’s nice that it starts to score goals, because in the end you need to do it as an offensive midfielder who wears a Liverpool T -shirt.”
